kingdom ministry september 2007 .
..in various parts of the world, a few associates of our organization have formed groups to do.
independent research on bible-related subjects.
What kind of "apostate activity" do you think they might be looking out for?
Because in my humble opinion we are all in flagrant disregard of the September 07 kingdumb ministry by just switching our brains ON!!!!!!!
i'm now a jedi master!
!been trying to move up to the next one for ages!going to go and borrow my sons star wars light saber now just so i'm an authentic jedi lol!
.
Do you get extra Nectar points for being a Jedi Master?????
we are blazing through the time we live in, seeking freedom from the oppression around is, in us, through us.
we are opening our minds to new ways of thinking, feeling, living, sharing.. it's not easy, we pay a price, for some of its much higher than others.
we suffer alone, endure hardships, bear the truth and it's consequences.. there is no new land to conquer, no nations to be born, no places to run to any longer.
You are right!
And I have a sneaky feeling that the "large group" we have left is getting rapidly smaller!
Nearly every week I am hearing of JWs who are being disfellowshipped (and not going back!) - I feel we could start a new trend in "Congratulations" cards!!
It is a major step that every one of us has taken!
Well done to all of us and long may it continue!

What "websites" would those be then?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chuckle!!!!!!
onthewayout has a current thread about a slow fade, and i have read many others that are similar.
i do not understand how fading slowly vs. fading very quickly has any different consequences.
and i mean whether an elder or pioneer or not.
I was a sudden drop out - had been brought up as a JW - was unhappy about the religion for a few years.
My mum and dad had left approx 18 months earlier - one day at a circuit assembly I decided that was the last meeting I was ever going to.
Mentioned the fact to my husband outside the assembly hall during the session, and never went back in (except afterwards to get my bag and coat!).
Never been back!
I did have a call from two elders - but I told them that if living forever in "Paradise" meant having to stick their association I would rather go without Paradise. I think it sort of told them!
Then when my brother in law elder came round a while later I made sure I was out putting up the christmas lights! Fantastic feeling!
Never been DFd though - can't imagine why. I am quite vociferous in my outspoken hatred of the divisive cult!
being that i like the looks of the christmas lights and that i have had 20 years of not being able to set them up, i have already taken the step of setting up the christmas tree.
on it are huge amounts of lights--12 sets of c6 led bulbs (they come 60 to a set) plus a set of 70 miniature leds for the top region.
i ran out of c6 bulbs about halfway up the tree (not to worry, i have the other 6 sets on order and they should be arriving today).. there are some things to think about when setting up a holiday tree out of "season".
Whilst I admire your enthusiasm (and would never want to dampen it in any way) it is only August!!
But...while we are talking Christmas trees - I have heard it recommended (from a good source, an ex elder) that you need to have at least 100 lights per foot of Christmas tree. So a 6 foot tree = 600 lights.
And don't forget to make sure that if you have a star/fairy at the top of the tree that your top set of lights are positioned so that it lights up the fairy/star - otherwise at night the top will be in darkness.
And also make sure that the tree isn't in danger of falling on a small child (or adult come to that!). Last year I ended up with the tree falling down on me whilst I was trying to get all the presents underneath! No bones or lights broken, but lights did need repositioning again! How I laughed!!!
I will probably start thinking about the tree in November - might get a real one this time (have got an artificial one in the attic that I have used for 7 years).
I think the important thing is just to have fun - after all that is, really, what Christmas is all about!!!
this morning we saw a pair of jw women in service.
nothing remarkable except that one of them was wearing pants.
it wasn't even a cold day!
I wish that I had had the courage to wear trousers to the meeting when I was JW!
Now of course I would stride into the kingdumb hall in a trouser suit and my comments and suggestions at the Watchtower study/book study would result in me being thrown out!
But at the time I was still nervous about being too outspoken. Did make my mark a few times though when elders and other endangered species would come out with the most stupid remarks.
But nothing like what I would do now!!!!!!
i almost got declared one.
elder said he wanted to take me out in service so i don't.
said i'd have that for 6 months.
Personally I wouldn't write a disassociation letter.
When I left a few years ago I considered writing to the local PO. But then I realised that by doing that I was acknowledge to them the none-existent "power" that they have over you.
Plus it will then be seen that you as the individual took the step to disassociate yourself, rather than them disfellowshipping you.
It may only be a minor point - but in my opinion it is best not to give the elders the "illusion" that they have any real power.
The power they think they have is all in the heads.
Don't feed their delusions!
Just my thoughts!

How do the WT society think that their morally questionnable legal advisers obtained their degrees?
By attending the theocratic ministry school? Or by being given the privilege of handing the microphones round at the kingdumb hall??
Yeah right!
When I was a JW I did an NVQ at the local college (got a LOAD of grief for doing it!).
Have now left the JWs, and just graduated from university with a masters in law (LLM) - and been promoted! Well worth it!
Have to say that my time at university in the last couple of years has not caused me to start a downward spiral of heavy drinking, drug taking and violence!!!!!
If anything would turn an individual to despair, drink and drugs it would be to continue as a JW! In my opinion!!!
